Can I pay by Credit Card?
Yes we do accept credit card payment using either Mastercard or Visa. When you checkout please press the credit card option and we will get back to you within 48h of your order being placed via phone to get your credit details and confirm any further details for your order.
I want a cake for tomorrow but when I go through checkout, it won’t let me choose that date. What can I do?
You may call us on 1300 880 211 and pass your order by phone. However not all cakes can be prepared from one day to the next so please try to order early.
Is there a minimum amount to order from?
Yes, we only accept minimum orders of $35 + Delivery Fee (if applicable).
Do you deliver?
Do you offer custom-made cakes?
We do not offer custom-made cakes outside our normal range, however, we will do our best to accommodate a request for decoration with respect to colour preference / event.
How long do your cakes and desserts last?
We recommend you consume all our cakes on the day of order collection, especially the croquembouche, millefeuilles, St. Honore and fresh fruit tarts.
We ask that you kindly arrange for collection of your croquembouche at a time closest to the event/consumption. Please ensure the croquembouche is kept out of direct sunlight, in a cool environment.
Where do you deliver your cakes?
As our business is an online business we usually deliver our cakes for free in Sydney CBD and most of Sydney Eastern Suburbs (except for Watsons Bay, Vaucluse, Dover Heights and Rose Bay which attract a $15 fee). For other suburbs please see our table fees.

Do you ship cakes?
We regret that we cannot ship our cakes as too fragile to be shipped by couriers. However, they can be picked up from our depot in Bondi.
Your cakes are beautiful, but do they taste good too?
At French Cakes Sydney, all our cakes are made to order. So, we are baking them on the day of delivery (that’s the reason why we need orders to be placed 48 hours in advance). We only use fresh ingredients, including real butter, A2™ milk, flour, sugar and free-range eggs!
Our Chef does his own hazelnut paste after roasting and grinding them for a delicious rich flavour. He only uses vanilla beans and no artificial flavour, he makes his own custard and not using powder. So, our cakes have all the flavours you expect and are not too sweet.

Do you make gluten-free cakes?
Yes, we offer gluten free cakes for any type of event including weddings. Here are some examples of gluten-free cakes we can bake for you.
We do our best to accommodate allergies by separating the order from others and sanitizing the equipment and tools used for the order.
Do you make dairy-free cakes?
No, we do not bake dairy-free cakes.
Do you make eggless cakes?
No, we do not offer egg-free cakes.
How far in advance should I place my order?
We’d like as much lead-time as possible and latest 48 hours before the event. However, if you have a last minute order, ask us, we’ll try to get it done for you if it is possible.
Is a deposit required when placing an order?
We do not require a deposit at the time of the order unless it is a big event. Be aware that the balance is due in full prior to delivery unless payment is COD. Final payments can only be made in cash or by credit card or bank transfer.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept, cash, bank transfer or Credit Cards (Visa and Mastercard only).
What is your refund/cancellation policy?
A full payment is due when you place your order unless you want to pay cash on delivery. For bank transfer or credit card payment, balance is due in full prior to delivery.
In the event of cancellation:
- All requests for full cancellation must be made in writing and more than 3 days prior to the delivery date.
If a cancellation is received less than 48 hours prior to the contracted delivery date, the balance is due in full.
Can you use pictures on your cakes?
French Cakes Sydney does not have the capability of printing your pictures, corporate logos or images onto cakes. However, we can make some décor which can be connected to your event. Please contact us to discuss your needs.
